Haring Ibon Philippine Wildlife Playing Cards

This long-awaited follow-up to the original Haring Ibon Playing Cards now features a wide variety of Philippine Wildlife! From some of the most iconic flagship species, like the Tamaraw and the Philippine Crocodile, to some of the country's most beautiful, like the Philippine Dwarf-kingfisher and the Luzon Peacock Swallowtail.

Our goal with this new Philippine Playing Cards was simple: we want to showcase our incredible, colorful, and unique biodiversity as a megadiverse country through this set of cards! From birds, mammals, reptiles, frogs, butterflies, marine animals, and flowers. Each species that we have featured is accompanied by their Common Name, Scientific Name, and local names for most of them, along with their DENR/BFAR and IUCN conservation statuses. To top it all off, the packaging, the back, and the sides of the cards were adorned with Philippine textile motifs to embrace its Filipino identity

Following up on our original bird set was tough. Like the original, this new set took a year to complete. But I'm so happy with how the final product turned out! Although 54 species is a lot, it was so fun drawing each of our natural treasures. I'm incredibly grateful to the entire Haring Ibon - Birds in Focus, Inc. team for making this project possible, and for giving it the time it deserves to reach this final design

And it looks like it has paid off, with a lot of folks already enjoying the cards when we secretly launched them at the 2nd Leg of the Quezon City Bird Race!
