Birds of the Calamianes Trading Cards

Sharing one of our proudest co-branded projects we’ve done during the past year, the Haring Ibon Birds of the Calamianes Trading Cards!

These cards are a project with Haring Ibon-Birds in Focus, Inc. and the Regalo ng Kilit Foundation based in Coron to showcase 52 bird species found across the Calamianes Group of islands. We designed these cards with young students in mind, having vibrant and stunning photographs paired with important information per species, like their scientific name, range, size, conservation status, and their local name in the Cuyonon language.

These cards were made based on the first-generation Haring Ibon trading cards developed by Tita Maia Tañedo during the early stages of the pandemic. Feedback and improvements were heavily implemented for this iteration to be more sustainable and much more well-designed in terms of aesthetics and practicality in everyday use. We felt really accomplished after seeing the Calamianes Cards finally pushing through with how we envisioned them to be, vibrant and practical, showcasing our natural wonders in all their beauty.

Hopefully, the Calamianes Cards are a sign for more to come.
